Beginner's guide

Getting started with Neo Valor

Four steps from a new account to a working dashboard. Follow the order, and you will know what is set up, why, and when to be careful.

Introduction

This page is written for people using an automated trading platform for the first time. After following it, you will have a secure account, an exchange connected with limited permissions, basic analysis and monitoring set up, and an understanding of how to read the dashboard.

You do not have to finish everything in one day. Your personal manager can guide you at every stage, and there is no pressure to deposit before you feel ready.

Prepare three things before you start: a phone for the authenticator app, an e-KTP or passport for identity verification, and a bank account or digital wallet in your own name for deposits. With these, all the steps below can be completed in one calm session, without rushing.

Register your account

Fill in your name, email and mobile number in the registration form. You are then asked to create a password. Choose a long password you have never used on another service, for example a combination of several words that are easy for you to remember but hard to guess.

Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) right away through an authenticator app on your phone, and keep the recovery codes somewhere safe. Within 24 hours your personal manager will contact you to introduce themselves.

If your mobile number changes or you mistyped your email, tell us first. Correct contact details make sure you do not miss the manager's call or important security notices.

  • Use an email that only you can access.
  • Never share a verification code with anyone, including people who claim to be our staff.
  • Complete identity verification when asked, as described in the KYC and AML policy.

Connect a crypto exchange

Neo Valor works with your own exchange account. At the exchange of your choice, create a new API key, then copy the key and its secret into the connection section of the dashboard. The funds stay in your exchange account and are not moved to us.

Set the key permissions carefully. Enable only the read permission and the trade permission. The withdrawal permission should stay off, and if the exchange allows it, restrict the key to the IP addresses named in our connection guide.

Mind the limits: every exchange has its own request limits per minute and its own rules. An expired or revoked key makes strategies stop until you update it.

After the connection succeeds, the dashboard shows your exchange balance. If the figures do not appear, check again that the key and secret were copied in full with no space at the start or end, and that the read permission is active.

Set up analysis and monitoring

Choose the asset pairs you want to monitor, for example the main crypto pairs against the US dollar. For beginners we suggest starting with one or two liquid assets with large volume, so they are easier to understand.

Set the conditions: how much of your capital one strategy may use, the loss limit, and when the system must stop. Also enable notifications so you are told when a strategy starts running, when the loss limit is reached or when the market is paused because of high volatility.

Ready-made strategies from experienced traders are available as a starting point. You can change their parameters at any time or replace them with your own settings.

Do not enable many strategies at once in the first week. One strategy you understand is better than five that are hard to monitor, and its results are easier to evaluate.

Monitor and manage through the dashboard

The dashboard is your control centre. It shows your balance, open positions, transaction history, the status of each strategy and an activity report that can be downloaded. Get used to opening it regularly, for example once a day or every weekend.

From the dashboard you can also pause or stop strategies, change loss limits, manage login sessions and request a withdrawal. If a figure is unclear to you, ask your personal manager before taking a decision.

The activity report can be downloaded as a file for your own records or for tax record-keeping. Keep reports regularly, because a complete history makes it easier to compare results month to month and to explain them if a bank or tax authority asks.

  • Check the weekly report and compare it with your original goals.
  • Review the audit history to make sure all activity was done by you.
  • Pause a strategy if you feel uncomfortable with how the market is moving.

If you want to withdraw part of your funds, request it through the dashboard using the same method as your deposit. Processing time and terms are explained in the withdrawal policy.

Important notes

No platform can guarantee profit. Crypto asset prices fluctuate widely, and you can lose part or all of your capital. Investment decisions remain your responsibility, including choosing assets, deciding the amount of capital and keeping the account secure.

Start with an amount you are ready to part with, and read the risk disclosure before making your first deposit.

Remember too that the automatic pause only helps limit exposure when the market is turbulent. It does not prevent losses and does not guarantee your capital stays intact, so keep monitoring your account actively.

Results over one period are not a picture of the next. If the results on the dashboard differ from what you expected, do not add capital in a hurry. Pause the strategy, review the settings and talk it over with your personal manager first.
